Where to get games for Arcade World

The clean setup is simple: Arcade World provides the emulator and library. You bring games you own, homebrew releases, demos or files the creator allows you to download.

Fast path

  1. Open the Game Room.
  2. Choose Import local ROM.
  3. Select the system core, like NES, SNES, GBA, Genesis or MAME 2003.
  4. Pick your ROM file from your computer.
  5. Play locally. The file is not uploaded to Arcade World.

What to avoid

Do not build the public site around hidden commercial ROM downloads. For a high-traffic product, the better model is catalog, guides, local import, desktop library, cloud features for allowed games and creator partnerships.
